Thrombopoietin Receptor

Thrombopoietin (TPO) is the major regulator of megakaryocytopoiesis and platelet formation. The protein encoded by the c-mpl gene, CD110, is a 635 amino acid transmembrane domain, with two extracellular cytokine receptor domains and two intracellular cytokine receptor box motifs. Upon binding of thrombopoietin CD110 is dimerized and the JAK family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases, as well as the STAT family, the MAPK family, the adaptor protein Shc and the receptors themselves become tyrosine phosphorylated.

TPO binds to the thrombopoietin receptor (TPOr, also termed c-mpl) on platelets, megakaryocytes, and pluripotent stem cells leading to inhibition of apoptosis of stem cells and megakaryocytes; increased megakaryocyte number, size, and ploidy; increased rate of megakaryocyte maturation and platelet count; and decreased platelet threshold for activation by ADP and collagen.

    Eltrombopag Olamine (Standard)
    Agonist
Eltrombopag (Olamine) (Standard) is the analytical standard of Eltrombopag (Olamine). This product is intended for research and analytical applications. Eltrombopag Olamine (Eltrombopag diethanolamine salt) is an orally active thrombopoietin receptor nonpeptide agonist. Eltrombopag Olamine owns thrombopoietic activity, and has been used to research low blood platelet counts with chronic immune thrombocytopenia. Eltrombopag Olamine can be used for the research of cardiovascular. Eltrombopag Olamine also has highly inhibitory effects against multidrug resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Eltrombopag Olamine can induce apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinomab (HCC) as well.

    Imidazole (Standard)
    Inhibitor
Imidazole (Standard) is the analytical standard of Imidazole. This product is intended for research and analytical applications. Imidazole (Glyoxaline; 1,3-Diaza-2,4-cyclopentadiene) is a heterocyclic aromatic compound. Imidazole bearing molecules have been used as corrosion, acetylcholinesterase (AChEI) and xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitors, performing biological activities such as antifungal, antituberculosis, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and analgesic, amongst many others. Imidazole inhibits the enzymatic conversion of the endoperoxides (PGG2 and PGH2) to thromboxane A2 by platelet microsomes. Imidazole derivatives exhibits inhibition on SARS-CoV-2 3CLPro enzyme, which is promising for research in the field of Alzheimer’s disease, gout, COVID-19 and thrombo-embolic disease.
